McMillan fundraiser

By Antonio D. French

Filed Tuesday, March 21 at 4:02 AM

Nineteenth Ward Alderman Mike McMillan, who is running for License Collector, will be having a fundraiser on Wednesday at the "Fabulous" Fox Theatre. The event's host committee boasts more names of area big shots than a Deb Peterson column on crack.

Here are a few (in alphabetical order): Joyce and Martie Aboussie, Walle Amusa, Richard E. Banks, Freeman Bosley, Jr., Richard Callow, C.W. Gates, Darryl T. Jones, Mark H. Levison, Linda M. Martinez, Tim Person, Darryl Piggee, Mike and Steve Roberts, Vince Scheomehl, Wayman F. Smith, John R. Steffen, Steven Stogel, and Kim J. Tucci. Just to name a few.

A reception for hosts and sponsors ($1,275 per person) will be at 5:00 p.m. The general reception ($600 per person) starts at 6:00.

I guess he made up with Callow, then. Next puppet-mayor?

If Slay isn't happy with just two terms, will McMillan be willing to bite the hands that fund him?

Callow, on the other hand, like Lou Hamilton, just wants to be working for a winner.

It's also very good for Public Eye, Inc. to have open doors to as many winners as possible. Without those open doors, potential clients may not be feel that paying Public Eye, Inc. is worthwhile.

Imagine what business opportunities abound for his PR firm if word gets around that the License Collector owes Callow some favors in exchange his recent victory!

Ah if only the FabFox could only collapse in on itself at around 6:20 pm tomoorow night. There wouldn't need to be a revolution in St. Louis. It would clean house and we could start over again.

Our focus should be on running the city and NOT on buildings collapsing on real live people. I have watched Alderman McMillan's career for years and am very proud of his accomplishments as a young person trying to make a difference in St. Louis. We constantly say that we need younger people to step up to the plate and get involved and he has done just that. I am looking forward to voting for him for Lincense Collector and whatever else he may run for in the future. I applaud him for having such a diverse group of people behind him with this fundraiser. That is what St. Louis should be about!

Michael McMillan has all the right qualities for everybody. He has everything that white people and black people in this city (St. Louis) love. He looks white enough for white people, and he looks black enough for black people.

He dresses nice and is single, which keeps all the ladies believing they will date him or marry him.

He also has a lot of money, and drives a nice automobile.

He knows everybody and can persuade them to open up their wallets and pay the piper. Nobody else can or has held a fundraiser at the Fox.

He lives in a nice area and controls the plight of the 19th Ward. He controls Committeewoman Cecilia Grant and Committeeman Columbus Edwards and will continue to after he becomes License Collector!

He will choose the successor for Alderman of the 19th Ward, and Marlene Davis will do whatever he says or get recalled at will! She knows this and will act nicer as well as start to keep quiet! In fact, her lips are probably shut right now!!!

He is the only person that can tell Ida Woolfolk to be quiet, and get away with it. The King!

He is the overwhelming choice for License Collector and will win by a landslide.

Mayor Slay will be defeated by License Collector Mike McMillan whenever he decides to run against him, because Mayor Slay has never done $1 billion dollars worth of development in a ward.

McMillan can out fundraise Mayor Slay, and has proven this fact as an Alderman.

Can you imagine Mike McMillan having access to all the businesses in the City of Saint Louis as a fundraising database?

My prediction is that License Collector McMillan will raise over $2 million dollars before filing opens for the next mayoral election and then begin fundraising for the Mayoral election!

License Collector McMillan is unstoppable by anybody in the City of Saint Louis!!!!!!!

OMG! What stellar qualities! He looks black. He looks white. He drives a nice car. He lives in a nice area. He has lots of money and would be effective in raising more for a future campaign.

Once again. You get what you deserve.

Idiots.

To anon. #7, to quote Homer Simpson in the "Attack of the Clones" segment of a Holloween episode: "Me concur". McMillan is just another member of the "Democratic" machine in the city. Fresh ideas? On the back of an ACC issue was his campaign ad. One of the fresh ideas listed in his platform? "Building demolition." Wow, no one has ever thought of that in this city. Such vision, such foresight, such imagination. Such rubbish. These "Democrats" have about as much respect for the democratic process as George W. Bush. Just what this city needs: another neo-fascist "my way or the highway" pol on his way up the ladder, courtesy of the connected, the moneyed, and the powerful.
