Mayor Wessels!!!

Jake Wagman is reporting that Francis Slay is out of town -- in Israel, actually.

"In Slay’s absence, veteran Alderman Fred Wessels is acting mayor, at least for now. The two city officials ahead of Wessels in the line of succession --- Board of Aldermen President James Shrewsbury and Alderman Phyllis Young –- are also out of town."
